- The Funabashi City International Association offers classes where you can learn Japanese. There are a variety of courses available, both face-to-face and online, so please read the application website carefully and choose the course that best suits you. All classes are subject to a fee.

★Japanese language classes (high school students and above)
We divide the basics of Japanese into eight levels and teach you how to converse in everyday situations. We offer two courses: face-to-face and online.
●Face-to-face course: Study at community centers or association salons.
●Online course: Study via Zoom.
★Short-term Japanese language crash course (adults)
Over a three-month period, twice a week, you will study 18 conversational situations related to everyday life, as well as 50 hiragana, katakana, and kanji characters.
We will use the FIRA original textbook, "Three months of beginner's Japanese for living in Funabashi."
- Here are some free websites where you can enjoy studying conversation, grammar, hiragana, katakana, kanji, and other Japanese language skills on your own.
Please use them to help you with your Japanese language studies. *Users will be responsible for communication charges.

- There are two classrooms for elementary school students and junior high school students.
★ Funabashi Municipal School Japanese Classroom "World Room" (Funabashi City Board of Education Guidance Division)
In the classroom, Children will study basic Japanese for beginners and will learn Japanese language necessary for studying their subjects in Japanese together with their instructors and school teachers.
*Since the 2020 academic year, due to the impact of COVID-19, classes have been conducted online.
Location: Participate from your school using a tablet computer.
Time: Elementary school students in grades 4-6 = every Wednesday from 14:00 to 14:45, junior high school students = every Friday from 13:30 to 14:20
Age: 4th to 6th grade elementary school students and junior high school students attending Funabashi Municipal Schools and need to learn Japanese language
Cost: Free

★ Chikyuu-ko, Children’s Japanese Class (Funabashi International Relations Association)
After arriving in Japan, students will study school textbooks until they can able to read them with furigana. There is a fee for the classes.
●Face-to-face course:Classes to be held in i-Office Tsudanuma (6th floor, Showa 3rd Building, 1-3-11 Tsudanuma, Narashino City).
●Online course: Study with Zoom.
Time: Every Saturday 9:45-11:45
Age: 1st grade to 3rd grade
